Our process

Customer requirements are kept in mind at every stage of the order, from the first drawing to the crate that leaves the factory.

  1. 01

    Take the order

During the order we gather as much information as possible about the parts you need. Detailed specification drawings and precise measurements are passed on to manufacturing, so the part is made exactly to your requirement.

  2. 02

    Source the raw material

Depending on your requirement, the best raw material and scrap is sourced from one of our trusted suppliers. When it arrives it is checked for quality before it goes any further.

  3. 03

    Weigh and combine

The right raw materials are weighed precisely, ready to be combined and melted. Different components have different uses, so the durability of each part depends on getting this mix right.

  4. 04

    Melt in the foundry

The scrap is melted in a furnace. This is a vital stage: the metal chemistry is adjusted for the final use of the component, by a team trained for exactly this work.

  5. 05

    Pour and release

The molten metal is poured into the moulds quickly and accurately, left to cool, then released from the moulds and checked.

  6. 06

    Turn and machine

Grinding, sanding and machining bring each component to its final dimensions, shape and surface finish. Threads, knurls and grooves are cut here.

  7. 07

    Quality check

Throughout production the brass is checked and controlled. Finished parts are tested for hardness, strength and dimensions against your specification before anything is packed.

  8. 08

    Pack and dispatch

Components are packed so that no part can be damaged in transit, and every order is dispatched to arrive in the time frame you specified.

Fit for purpose. Right the first time. Every order, every step.

One process from drawing to dispatch means a standard insert and a one-off part get the same care.
